Art and Nature

I've been doing some research for our collaboration project & was shown this selection of work today. Its from the BBC4 program "Art from the Arctic" and followed the progress of a small group of artists; including Heather Ackroyd, David Buckland, Ian McEwan, Antony Gormley and Peter Clegg.
I thought the work produced was just so lovely, I had to share it with fellow MAMMOTHS. The project shown here was between Heather Ackroyd and Dan Harvey. They made a lens of ice, in the hope that it would focus the sun and refract it, in order to burn things. It didn't work, but its still beautiful. Other projects involved making music from natural sound, projecting onto ice, and artistic/ conceptual igloos.
Not on youtube yet, but there is a dvd of the documentary in the library.
